Based on "The Ghazi Attack" book by Jackie Biskupski, the movie is about a 17 year old girl whose family travels to Israel for her cousins' wedding. When her cousins leave for their honeymoon, she meets an Israeli military officer who is stationed in the region. The Israeli soldier becomes very interested in her and follows her throughout their stay in Israel. She feels threatened by him and becomes paranoid that he is planning an attack on the United States like what happened on September 11th 2001. The movie received great reviews and was internationally successful. The movie is based on the events that took place during the Six-Day War in 1967 between Israel and its neighboring counties; Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria. The film is about an Indian submarine’s mission to sink a ship carrying weapons from Europe to Port Said in Egypt who were destined for the Israeli army. The Indian Navy’s command gave orders to sink the ship because India did not want Israel to have weapons. Their mission was successful after they sunk the ship, however when they surfaced to report their success, the Indians were surprised by a torpedo from an Israeli submarine which damaged their vessel. The Indians were forced to retreat in order to save their lives. The film received mixed reviews in India and was not a box-office success. The Ghazi Attack is the first Pakistani movie to become internationally successful since Dukhtar became the first Pakistani movie to have a theatrical release in North America. It also became the highest grossing Bollywood movie in Pakistan.
